Peavey Bass Amp History

World of bass instruments has its share of legends, not only in the end the players, often the producers who were celebrating their endorsers. Mississippi native Hartley Peavey is such an iconic name.

History

In 1965, manufactured Hartley Peavey PA systems and guitar amplifiers and cabinets in his shop before responding to demand bassists brand specific Peavey bass amplifiers in the 1970s.

Meaning

For the self-production of all internal and external components associated with their bass amp lines, Peavey has eliminated the middleman, saving their customers money without sacrificing quality and performance.

First bass

First product lines were introduced and the Centurion Mark III series. Amp quickly gained a loyal following client. Later, matching built in cabinets and combos as well.

Benefits

The bears enjoy both the tones available from tubes of raw Peavey heads and cutting tones of solid-state amplifiers. VB-700 heads and three are gold standard Peavey.

Perspective

As more and more manufacturers move their production lines abroad as well, Hartley Peavey, the U.S. maintains his shop, which raised the local economy, while bass related products.
